The Boston College Club Field Hockey team competes in the National Field Hockey League. During the fall season (September to November), the team practices for two hours, two or three times per week, usually on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9pm. Competition during the fall season includes several matches against local, New England teams, one divisional tournament, and one invitational tournament. In the off-season in the spring, the team usually participates in local scrimmages and an invitational tournament.
Boston College Club Field Hockey is a competitive, student-run program. Our team welcomes players (both men and women) of all levels and backgrounds, although we encourage strong field hockey skills and knowledge of the game for tryouts. Tryouts are typically held during the second or third week of September after Student Activities Day when students have the chance to sign up for clubs. Fliers with tryout information will also be up around campus at that time.
